our romantic stay in san quirico d'orcia was absolutely amazing thanks to the lovely palazzo del capitano. the hotel's central location made exploring the town a breeze, and the beautiful garden with a cool bar and fantastic pool created a delightful atmosphere. the room was stylish and the breakfast in the neighboring garden restaurant was delicious. exceeded all expectations!

The hotel was perfect! Our room was very nice, with all the amenities you don't expect from Europe. The staff and service was very helpful and accomodating. The breakfast and tea time were amazing, lots of variety and typical italian Tuscan food. The garden is beautiful. Parking is available very close. We highly recommend their restaurant, Il Vecchio. This was a fantastic stay!

The beautiful room was a step back in time, yet with all the comfort and luxury of today. The staff were so helpful, whether at reception or the hotel restaurant which accommodate food allergies. The breakfast and afternoon tea were a real delight. The walled town added to the charm. A great variety of shops and restaurants to choose from. This hotel is a true gem!

This place is like something out of a dream, with jaw-dropping views and a magical atmosphere. The Michelin-starred restaurant serves mind-blowing food and wine, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and taken care of. The secluded garden and saltwater pool are super relaxing, and the charming village square with its restaurants is a bonus. The suite is absolutely stunning, with luxurious and spacious accommodations. The spa treatments are a great way to unwind after a long day of exploring. Can't wait to come back!

The property is beautiful and romantic. The town is very small with no activities. The breakfast was the best one on our trip. We ate dinner at the restaurant and was delicious. The sorroundings are great for excursions such as the thermal baths in the forest and wine tastings. We had a great time and would recommend it for scenery, relaxation and food.

Very good location . The hotel's restaurant is very good. The room is great and the massage was wonderful.

In one night, the electricity in our room turned off at 1 am and we lost heat and light, there was no phone to call any one (the 2 phones in the room doesn't work with out electricity) and in the reception there were no body!!!Was the worst night of a 25 nights trip. And the hotel gave a 15 euro discont for us !

I had a great stay at this luxurious hotel. The location couldn't have been more perfect, nestled in a quiet castle area between two major wine-producing regions. Being right in the city center, I had easy access to all the attractions and amenities. The service was exceptional, with room service, car hire, and dry cleaning available. The staff were friendly and provided helpful recommendations for exploring the surrounding areas. I especially enjoyed the beautiful garden, one of the best I've seen at a hotel. It was a serene and relaxing oasis, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening drink.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only minor drawback was that we received only one bottle of shampoo for a 4-night stay.

The location is hard to find even using a GPS. The services were not so good specially considering a hotel spa. The restaurant was closed and no one was able to take care of the luggage.

I had the pleasure of staying at a true gem in the heart of Tuscany. The hotel, nestled within a charming town, exudes a romantic and picturesque atmosphere. The unique rooms are beautifully decorated and offer breathtaking views of the garden. The hotel's restaurant, Trattoria al Vecchio Forno, served the best meals of my entire trip. Whether it's a honeymoon or anniversary trip, this place is perfect for a memorable and romantic getaway. I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable experience.

Nice atmosphere, very typical for Tuscany, with a certain charm.

A hotel that makes you feel like a citizen of a small medieval village, with delicious dishes that delight your senses and the best Spa in the world. It's a must-visit for those who want to fully experience the culture and traditions of the place.

Had to fight off mosquitos by the pool and hike up a few flights of tricky stairs with my suitcases. How adventurous!

The breakfast was excellent, and the computer was a convenience. We enjoyed being in the town of San Quirico and the surrounding countryside. The staff at the front desk was friendly helpful and efficient.

The facility was really very nice. Lots of steps and stairs, which are only a problem arriving and departing with luggage, but not help was offered with getting those items to and from our rooms. The restaurant attached to the hotel was really fine, with a wonderful staff and service. We enjoyed seeing the same staff people we met at dinner out walking on the streets the following days: they remembered us and spoke, which made us feel very welcome among the staff and people in town.

Staff could have been more helpful and engaging. Seemed either distracted whenever we encountered them, uncomforatable with our broken Italian (though we and they tried), or something else. Nothing too bothersome, but just a general lack of warmth or engagement.

The hotel's decoration was charming and had a cozy atmosphere, making me feel right at home. The general areas were well-maintained and easily accessible for senior people. I especially appreciated the elevator and the comfortable seating areas throughout the hotel.

I would have loved to see the children working there offer more assistance to us seniors.

The free afternoon tea and cake was a welcome relief after missing out on lunch.

The cost of €40 per person to have a sauna and jacuzzi was a disappointment.
